Action for Children

Action for Children run projects across England and Wales that support and treat children, young people and their families who've been affected by sexual abuse. They provide long term support using therapeutic play, creative arts and psychotherapy. They also provide a range of individual, group and family treatments and therapy to support the whole family.

Catchpoint

Catchpoint (Bristol) specialise in supporting families caring for children affected by early trauma. They offer integrated packages of support for families and school staff, working collaboratively with any other agencies involved in each case. Catchpoint uses creative arts therapies with a trauma recovery model and an attachment focus. The focus of their work is the parent-child relationship, to encourage the attachment patterns needed for security and stability in the family and help a child start the trauma recovery journey.

Barnardo's

Barnardo’s runs projects and schemes across the country supporting children, young people and families where abuse has happened. These may offer therapy and counselling to help children come to terms with what has happened to them and move forward in life, and offer support to non-abusing parents to help them protect their children in future. Many services also help support children through court proceedings when perpetrators are prosecuted.
